Vote for TreeHugger, for Webby's 2006 People's Voice Best Blog: Culture/Personal

The nominees for this year's Webby's were announced earlier this month. I encourage you to go to the Webby's People's Voice site, complete the easy registration process (choose a username, give an email address/zip code/country; copy security code and select or not a checkbox for 011 mailings). Your password will be sent to the email address you provide in the blink of an eye. Mine was already in Gmail just after submitting my registration.

Vote for TreeHugger in the Best Blog - Culture/Personal category (first category on top of the voting page). The Earth and I thank you. Voting is open until May 5th (eight days from today).

Share this with the friends/family who may be interested in voting. Thanks again!

Update: the vote is for People's Voice Webby awards, not People's Choice as I first wrote, ah, must wear my reading glasses, every day.

Pocho Joe's Upcoming Performances

Directly from an email Joe Hernández-Kolski sent:
I'm currently working on a piece that I first developed in a solo performance workshop with Roger Guenveur Smith at the Mark Taper. I've always wondered, "Where do conservatives go to read their poetry?" This is my response. It centers around a conservative poet who loves hip-hop, his mother and pat robertson all equally.
I have a few performances coming up and I'd love for you to stop by if you're in the neighborhood:

Requiem for My Organic Duchys

Requiem for Our Cookies

You were the best cookies I've ever had!
Oh, so delicate
Oh, so much flavor
Oh, so good for this planet
Your profits go to charity
The charities of the Prince of Wales
Oh, my Organic Duchys
You will be my favorite cookies 'til
the very day I die!

Visit the Organic Duchy website to salivate.
