For Cell Invaders, Size Matters

Scientists now know that for any virus, size matters in its quest to enter a cell. A cell's membrane embraces optimally invaders the diameter of "27 to 30 nanometers... 1,000 times smaller than [a strand] of human hair." If you ever want to invent a virus; of the good kind to help battle cancer, for example, keep in mind those dimensions.
